Saucy and suggestive hits the content sweet spot!
It’s the most romantic day of the year tomorrow… allegedly. Which means all that frenzied point of sale advertising and content marketing we’ve all been seeing everywhere has reached its, um, climax. Most of them of have been nauseatingly sweet and sickly, which is why The Message‘s inaugural award for Best Valentine’s Day Ad goes to… (drum roll, please) Dick Smith.
(The Woolworths-owned company, not the man. Although we are sure Mr S is as romantic as he is proudly pushing for home-grown and home-owned products and companies being given a fair go.)
We felt this ad really stands out from the sugary crowd. Which, after all, is what content marketing and getting a message across is really all about.
