Is nothing sacred – or secret – when it comes to online content?
Is nothing sacred? Or, to put it another way, is nothing secure on the Internet. First LinkedIn was hacked, then music site Last.fm and dating service eHarmony have reportedly had security breaches. And now even Apple seems unable to keep its secrets under wraps with yet another video emerging of the much-anticipated iPhone 5 – which is not expected to go on sale until October.
Apple CEO Tim ‘I’m not Steve Jobs’ Cook and his cohorts must be seething at the leak. Unless of course, it’s actually clever content marketing designed to maximise interest in Apple’s latest Smartphone iteration at a time when its market share is slipping.
