There’s a fine line between classy and crass when it comes to content
It is easy to despair at what passes for content these days. Put it down to taste or snobbery, but the number of column inches devoted to people who are ‘famous for being famous’ is one of the biggest blights of modern journalism. Kim Kardashian is a case in point. From twitter to the tabloids, from broadsheets to national broadcasters, news of the reality ‘star’s’ wedding was printed, played and replayed. As was news of her divorce 72 days later.
Happily, though, content can also redress the balance – as this wonderfully satirical video from Saturday Night Live shows. At least there are some people out there who don’t see the world through celebrity-tinted (and tainted) glasses…
