There’s no escaping the Titanic!
WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SOME TRULY AWFUL PUNS…
Sunday marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. As everyone knows, history’s famously ‘unsinkable’ ship hit the depths (sorry!) of hubris in the Atlantic Ocean on 15 April, 1912.
But that was just the tip of the iceberg (really, really sorry!) as far as the story was concerned. So many films, mini-series, documentaries have followed that content consumers are awash (I think I need help!) with reproductions, re-enactments and depictions of titanic (Dear God, is there no end to the madness?!) proportions.
James Cameron’s Oscar-winning, money-spinning 1997 movie is back in cinemas (now in 3D). But if you don’t want to see it again, or are one of the 26 people who have never actually seen it, this delightful YouTube parody pretty much sums it all up.
At least it’s refreshing to see that some people don’t view the tragedy – of both event and film – through Rose (I swear I’m done now)-tinted glasses and are completely Jack (You’re fired – Ed.) of it.
And while we’re at it, these are rather good, too…
